ACTION AND APPLICATION: Used for the upper respiratory tract and as a mild expectorant. It promotes mobility in the digestive system and alleviates cramps in larger doses. It stimulates mucus secretion in the respiratory tract.

PREPARATION: Pour 2.5 g (1 teaspoon) of crushed fennel fruit with about 150 ml (1 cup) of boiling water just before use. Let it steep covered for 10-15 minutes and then strain. Drink 1 cup of this prepared tea 2-3 times a day. The daily dose is 7 g.
