To this distillate, another portion of herbs is added, whose \u003cstrong\u003echlorophyll\u003c\/strong\u003e gives the absinthe its specific color and further enhances its aroma and taste.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAbsinthe is prepared by slowly adding \u003cstrong\u003eice water\u003c\/strong\u003e in a ratio of 1:3.
