Garnazuelo de Tritium

The Garnazuelo de Tritium wine is produced in vineyards located in Cenicero (the heart of La Rioja Alta). The vineyards are between 50 and 60 years old. The care of these vines is practically organic with highly integrated agriculture.

Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja

Variety: 50% Garnacha and 50% Mazuelo

Region and vineyards: The soil is predominantly calcareous.

Production: Fermented in stainless steel with temperature control and aged 4 months in third-year French oak barrels. This short aging softens the edges, leaving it smooth and round. Altitude 440 meters.

Tasting:
VISUAL: Clean and bright, with a garnet rim and medium layer.
NOSE: White cherry, violet, pomegranate, and red fruit compote.
PALATE: Good acidity, volume, pleasant bitterness, currants, cheesecake coverage, and acidity of red fruit.

Pairing:
White meats, roast, txikiteo.

Serving temperature:
15-16 ºC

Bodegas Tritium

Bodegas Tritium has eight hectares of vines, aged between 90 and 113 years. These are estates that have never participated in the two major mass uprootings in La Rioja.

The Tritium estates are located on soils (calcareous clay, ferrous clay, and alluvial), as well as in a microclimate (vineyard orientation, wind protection, etc.), which give the wines unique characteristics and allow, depending on the varieties and cultivation techniques we apply, to produce wines with a differentiated personality within a perfectly recognizable common identity.

Through an appropriate aging process, in which oak wood plays a decisive role, the Rioja wine undergoes a favorable evolution that enhances its virtues and imparts new aromatic and flavor characteristics.
