White Essence of Tritium

The wine White Essence of Tritium is a different white wine, starting with its color that has orange hues due to the fermentation and subsequent maceration of the wine with its skins. We use centenary vines and combine clay amphorae and Burgundy barrels. We follow the biodynamic philosophy, from production to bottling. Great subtlety.

Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja

Variety: Viura, Malvasía, Garnacha Blanca, and Tempranillo Blanco.

Region and vineyards: Height 436 meters

Production: 70% Viura and 30% Malvasía in a 750-liter clay amphora. It ferments and macerates with the skins for 6 months. We add a blend of Garnacha Blanca and Tempranillo Blanco, which ferment in a 228-liter French oak Burgundy barrel.

Tasting:

• VISUAL: clean and bright, golden with orange tones.
• NOSE: Walnut, fig in syrup, toasted almond, balsamic notes, roasted apple, and fennel or anise.
• MOUTH: Evidence of fermentation with skins, richness of flavors, dried fruits, citrus, mango, white flowers, delicate herbal touch, powerful and harmonious. A bit unctuous with a prolonged finish.

Tritium Wineries

Tritium Wineries has eight hectares of vines, aged between 90 and 113 years. These are estates that never joined the two major mass uprootings in La Rioja.

The Tritium estates are located on soils (calcareous clay, ferrous clay, and alluvial), as well as in a microclimate (vineyard orientation, wind protection, etc.), which give the wines unique peculiarities and allow, depending on the varieties and cultivation techniques we apply, to produce wines with a differentiated personality within a perfectly recognizable common identity.

Through an appropriate aging process, in which oak wood plays a decisive role, the Rioja wine undergoes a favorable evolution that enhances its virtues and gives it new aromatic and flavor characteristics.
