A popular alcoholic beverage made by distilling the fruits of juniper (in Slovak borievok) without any added sugar or flavorings. The base is the highest quality ultra-fine spirit. We macerate the juniper in it and then distill it to highlight the pure resinous profile. The taste is dry, firm, and fresh. The aroma resembles a forest after rain, citrus peel, and subtle spices.
Juniper spirit is not a sweet liqueur. It is suitable for sipping neat or in cocktails where you need a strong juniper base.
The characteristic properties of this forest fruit give the drink refreshing effects and make it an irreplaceable part of a wide range of mixed cocktails, from which we select the original cocktail for Zufánek Juniper Spirit called Junipelder:
5cl Zufánek Juniper Spirit
2cl elderflower syrup
juice from 1/2 lime
Stir, fill a tall long drink glass with ginger lemonade, and add 3 slices of cucumber.
