ACTION AND APPLICATION: It is used to stop bleeding from small wounds on the skin and mucous membranes, as well as for inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth, gums, and throat. When taken internally, five-finger root is effective for diarrhea, dysentery, and inflammation of the stomach and intestinal mucosa. Extracts of five-finger root have also been proven to have immunostimulatory, antiviral, and anti-allergic effects. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 12 years of age.
PREPARATION: Pour 2-3 g (1/2 teaspoon) of well-ground or coarsely crushed herb with 150 ml (1 cup) of cold water and bring to a boil. Let it sit covered for 5 minutes and then strain. It is recommended to prepare the tea without heating by pouring the herb with cold water and letting it steep for 6-12 hours. This way, the tea will have a stronger effect. Drink the tea 2-3 times a day, one cup at a time, or use it for rinsing and gargling.
