ACTION AND APPLICATION: Used for colds to soothe irritation of dry cough, catarrh, and irritated mucous membranes in the mouth and throat, but not as an expectorant. Less common use is for mild inflammation of the stomach and intestines. Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as children under 12 years old.

PREPARATION: Pour 3-4 teaspoons of finely crushed flowers (1.5 - 2 g) with 150 ml (1 cup) of cold water. Let it stand in a covered container for 10-15 minutes and then strain. Before drinking, it is advisable to briefly boil the tea. The tea can also be prepared by pouring boiling water over it. Drink 1 cup several times a day. It is recommended not to exceed a daily dose of 5 g of dried black mallow flowers.
