ACTION AND APPLICATION: In internal use, flax seeds are used for digestive difficulties such as: constipation in cases of damaged or irritated colon, inflammation of the intestinal mucosa, and inflammation of intestinal diverticula. In external use, it is applied as a compress for local skin inflammations. Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as children under 12 years old.

PREPARATION: Internal use: Pour 10 g (1 tablespoon) of whole flax seeds with about 150 ml (1 cup) of water and let it sit for 20 - 30 minutes. It is preferable to drink it together with the seeds or strain the mucilage and then use only that. Ground flax seeds can also be used as an addition to various dishes. External use: Soak 30 - 50 g (3-5 tablespoons) of crushed seeds in about 5 dl of water and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Apply in the form of a compress (gauze or linen cloth) to the inflamed area on the skin.
