What is grape must?

Grape must is grape juice from freshly pressed grapes and is also known for its high content of vitamins and antioxidants. It differs from young wine in that it does not undergo any fermentation and therefore contains no alcohol.

As a non-alcoholic beverage of 100% natural origin, it pleases not only abstainers, children, or drivers, but everyone who wants to enjoy grape juice without added sugar. Wine lovers can appreciate the typical taste of grapes at times when they cannot enjoy their favorite wine for various reasons.

How is grape must made?

Must can be pressed from both white and blue grapes, and the juice can be a blend of several varieties. The must produced by Tajna is made from the Pinot Blanc variety and is therefore pressed from white grapes. The fresh grape juice in our must comes exclusively from the vineyards of the Tajna winery. When choosing must, it is important to pay attention to the 100% share of grape content without additional colorings, flavors, or preservatives.

It is usually served on its own or mixed with sparkling or natural water. In Ancient Greece and Rome, boiled concentrated must was used as a sweetener in cooking. In relation to food preparation, it is still used today as one of the main ingredients in making Italian balsamic vinegar.
