Serafino Zani still manufactures its pots in the company in Lumezzane, Brescia, using exclusively high-quality stainless steel (18/10 stainless steel). This material is the only one that guarantees maximum hygiene in contact with food, almost eternal durability, and extreme ease of cleaning and maintenance. The steel is used in all components and details, and is always applied in generous thicknesses that ensure excellent heat distribution and deformability over time. All steel cooking pieces are equipped with a special patented heat-diffusing bottom by Tarcisio Zani - USA patent 4204607 - consisting of a core of pure aluminum 'trapped' inside a double bottom of stainless steel. The use of this bottom allows for optimal heat distribution over the body of the pot with minimal energy expenditure, and the possibility of using utensils on gas, electric plates, ceramic glass, and induction. All handles are designed to slow down heat transmission, paying attention to materials, shapes, and contact surfaces with the pot's body. The lid fits into a conical shape that prevents it from jumping during cooking, and from releasing steam that unnecessarily dissipates heat. The design philosophy of Serafino Zani has always been based on aesthetic-technological research and maximum satisfaction of the end user, through the creation of everyday objects that are of high quality, pleasant to use, and that do not create discomfort or maintenance difficulties.
