Fibrous skin, usually yellowish with a more orange background. It has folds that extend down to the stem. Its characteristic stem measures between 2cm and 6cm long, irregularly rounded, hollow, smooth, and shiny. The flesh of the Mountain Eel is very fine, fibrous, and flexible. Its aroma is delicate and fruity.
Curiosities of the Mountain Eel Lutescens: Habitat: It grows in calcareous pine forests, especially on the north side, which is more humid and mossy.
