For the 8th consecutive time, awarded as the Best Olive Oil in the World in the Picual category by EVOOWR (World Ranking of Extra Virgin Olive Oils). Extra virgin olive oil from the Picual variety by the prestigious producer Palacio de los Olivos. Thanks to the early harvest of still green olives, it has an intense flavor and aroma. On the palate, there are dominant notes of bananas, kiwi, and tomatoes, while the nose detects basil and freshly cut grass. Mildly spicy.

Food Pairings:

Grilled meats and vegetables, finishing touches for soups, spicy dishes, delicate pastries, bruschetta, rice dishes (risotto, paella), aged cheeses, tomatoes

Serving Tip Directly from Spain: Try the oil in combination with high-quality, ripe tomatoes. Slice the tomatoes, mix the oil, garlic, lemon, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl, let it sit for a few minutes, and then pour it over the tomatoes. An absolutely fantastic combination that you will love.

Picual

Picual, also known as Marteña or Lopereña, is the most popular variety not only in Spain but also in the world. Currently, it occupies about 900,000 hectares of production area in Spain alone.

Olive oils from the Picual variety have a full and pronounced flavor and aroma reflecting the best of Andalusia. On the palate, they are slightly spicy, often with notes of freshly cut grass or with a fruity hint and pleasant bitterness in the background. Since Picual is classified as a very early variety, the oil acquires an unusually green or yellow color.
