100% Cashew - Nut Spread

100% cashew butter made from high-quality cashew nuts sourced from Africa. We primarily use cashews from Togo or Tanzania. And why these countries? Yes, we have tried various types of cashew nuts from countries like Vietnam and India. But we always returned to the African ones. The reason, besides their delicate buttery flavor, is their consistency after grinding. Most available cashew spreads require the addition of various other fats during production because the consistency tends to be very thick. We have found that by combining high-quality fresh African cashew nuts with a precise roasting recipe, we achieve a beautiful creamy consistency without adding other ingredients. Therefore, our cashew butter can bear the label "one hundred percent." That is why we do not compromise on African cashews.

We purchase cashew nuts from suppliers in their natural raw state, meaning unroasted and unsalted. We roast them according to our own recipe, without using any fat, only with a stream of hot air. This process is very important in the production of cashew nut butter. Even a few seconds less or more can change the consistency and flavor of the cashew spread. Subsequently, it is necessary to let the nuts cool completely for several hours before they can be ground. If they were ground earlier, the resulting consistency would not be what we want.

Thanks to this complex process, our cashew butter contains no fats, salt, sugar, gluten, or preservatives.

100% cashew is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. We recommend storing it in a dark and dry place, but not in the refrigerator. The shelf life is 12 months from production, and after opening, we recommend consuming it within 60 days.

Did you know?
- Cashew nuts are one of the few that grow outside their shell. Essentially, they could be considered more seeds than nuts. This shell is called the "cashew apple" (even though it resembles a pear more) and the cashew nut grows from its lower half. From one fruit, only one nut grows. There is another shell on the nut itself, and this must be removed as it is toxic.
- Although some cashew nuts are sold under the label RAW, in reality, no sold cashew is completely raw. Due to their shell, they must be treated with hot steam before being sold. This ensures the removal of the shell, making the cashew nut edible.
