After maceration, distillation occurs, resulting in a \u003cstrong\u003eclear distillate\u003c\/strong\u003e. To this distillate, another portion of herbs is added, whose chlorophyll gives the absinthe its specific color and further enhances its aroma and flavor.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAbsinthe is prepared by slowly adding \u003cstrong\u003eice water\u003c\/strong\u003e in a ratio of 1:3, meaning if you pour 3 cl into a glass, you add just under a deciliter of water. This way, you obtain a glass of delicious herbal drink with an alcohol content almost the same as wine.
