Biarritz Bonheur – Lemon Liqueur is an artisanal liqueur crafted in the Basque Country by Matthieu Rivera and Fabrice Dubosc, master distillers, with the collaboration of Lionel Osmin and Imanol Harinordoquy. Inspired by the historical liqueurs of the Southwest of France, it embodies the festive, elegant, and carefree spirit of the Roaring Twenties. Made from fresh lemons meticulously selected from the Spanish Basque Country, this liqueur reveals the purity and brightness of the fruit. Yellow and green lemons are chosen for the vivacity of their aromas and the quality of their zests. Only the peels are used, which are then subjected to a slow maceration to gradually extract their aromatic intensity. The distillation, carried out slowly with a Stupfler© column still, captures the natural essence of the zests while avoiding excessive bitterness. After distillation, the spirit is reduced to 17.5% and balanced with minimal sweetness. The addition of fresh lemon juice brings natural freshness, vibrant liveliness, and an authentic expression of lemon, without any artificial coloring or flavoring. On tasting, Biarritz Bonheur Lemon is intense, fresh, expressive, and balanced. It combines the roundness of yellow lemon with the liveliness of green lemon, resulting in a bright, fruity, and delicately tangy liqueur. Serve very chilled, between 8 and 12 °C, or over ice for a refined and refreshing tasting experience.
