Description of St. John's Nuts:
St. John's Nuts are a delicacy made from walnuts, following an original 100-year-old recipe. We harvest the still green (unripe) walnuts around St. John's Day (June 24), when the shell of the nut is not yet fully developed. This allows them to be pickled whole (including the shell and husk) in a delicious spiced sugar syrup. In addition to their excellent taste, walnuts are known for their beneficial effects on the human body.

St. John's Nuts, sliced thinly, shine best when combined with fresh creamy cheeses and pâté. They are also great with game, in salads, or desserts.
