Therefore, we \u003cstrong\u003ein 2003\u003c\/strong\u003e continued the fruit-growing tradition and \u003cstrong\u003estarted planting our own plum orchards on the southern slope of the Vizovice valley\u003c\/strong\u003e, in an area called Těchlov. After five years, we harvested the first crop of Vizovice plums and \u003cstrong\u003ebegan a new tradition – the production of a limited series of Vizovice Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe always harvest the plums by individual varieties and must distill them in the same way. After at least a year and a half of aging, we select one distillate together with members of the Friends of Jelínek's Plum Brandy Association, which we bottle as the anniversary, limited Vizovice Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eČačanská Rodná from the 2016 vintage\u003c\/strong\u003e is already the eighth single-variety plum brandy from the own orchards of RUDOLF JELÍNEK. The Čačanská Rodná variety was bred in the countries of former Yugoslavia over 55 years ago by crossing the Stanley and Požegača varieties. It was first planted in the R. JELÍNEK orchards in Těchlov in Vizovice in 2006, covering a total area of 4 hectares. The Čačanská Rodná variety, with its sugar content of up to 22 brix, is often ranked among the best at tastings.
