The five-year-old kosher slivovice R. JELÍNEK is a clear distillate made from plums, certified as "kosher" by the American Jewish organization Orthodox Union. The certificate confirms that the entire production process is carried out under the highest level of kosher supervision, known as "chashrut," and in compliance with strict manufacturing rules. The production equipment must be koshered before production begins, meaning it must be rinsed with hot and cold water. A rabbi personally oversees each stage of the production process, from selecting the best varieties of plums at advanced ripeness, through handling the mash, distillation, to bottling. Fermentation and aging take place in tanks sealed by the rabbi.

R. JELÍNEK has been producing kosher products since the 1930s, when Rudolf Jelínek began successfully exporting them to the USA and other countries in 1934. It is precisely the five-year-old kosher slivovice that was the starting point for the production of all kosher distillates.
