The climate of the Wallachian region has favored plums and their cultivation for centuries. Therefore, we in 2003 continued the fruit-growing tradition and started planting our own plum orchards on the southern slope of the Vizovice valley, in an area called Těchlov. After five years, we harvested the first crop of Vizovice plums and began a new tradition – the production of a limited series of Vizovice Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.

We always harvest the plums by individual varieties and must distill them in the same way. After at least a year and a half of aging, we select one distillate together with members of the Friends of Jelínek's Plum Brandy Association, which we bottle as the anniversary, limited Vizovice Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.

Čačanská Rodná from the 2016 vintage is already the eighth single-variety plum brandy from the own orchards of RUDOLF JELÍNEK. The Čačanská Rodná variety was bred in the countries of former Yugoslavia over 55 years ago by crossing the Stanley and Požegača varieties. It was first planted in the R. JELÍNEK orchards in Těchlov in Vizovice in 2006, covering a total area of 4 hectares. The Čačanská Rodná variety, with its sugar content of up to 22 brix, is often ranked among the best at tastings. The juicy purple fruits have a regular oval shape and a fine blue bloom.

Vizovice Plum Brandy 2016 Čačanská Rodná was produced in a limited series of 2,016 bottles, each sealed with a traditional cork stopper and marked with a handwritten serial number.
