Muscat 2019: dry macerated wine with long aging

Muscat 2019 is a dry macerated wine that combines beautiful varietal fruitiness, full body, and a long aftertaste. Two years of aging in used oak barrique barrels have added depth and calmness without overshadowing its aromatic character.

Muscat is, alongside Malvasia, one of the favorite aromatic varieties of our region. It is often encountered as semi-dry or sweet wine, but we produce it dry for a reason. We believe that with thoughtful maceration, patient aging, and the right balance, it can become a great white wine.

Maceration for body and character

Contact with the berry skins preserves the Muscat's aromaticity while adding texture, structure, and a pleasant grip to the wine. The result is not just a fragrant wine, but a serious, gastronomic Muscat with a distinct character.

Two years in used barrique barrels

The wine aged for two years in used oak barrique barrels. Used barrels allow the wine to mature slowly and develop complexity while keeping the wood in the background. The focus is on fruitiness, fullness, and a long, calm aftertaste.

In the glass

The Muscat fruitiness is clear and appealing, maceration adds a nice body, and aging brings width and maturity. The wine is dry, full, and multi-layered, with a long finish that invites slow tasting.

With food

It pairs excellently with roasted poultry, pork, richer fish dishes, crustaceans and shellfish, mushroom dishes, roasted pumpkin, and aged cheese. It also complements aromatic vegetable dishes and moderately spicy Asian cuisine well.

Serving

Serve at approximately 12–14 °C in a larger white wine glass. Allow it some time in the glass before tasting to reveal its fullness, fruitiness, and maturity.
