Refošk Črno 2025 – dark, mature and still vibrant
Refošk Črno 2025 was harvested in early October in a sunny southwestern position near Manžan. The vintage was very good for refošk, so the grapes remained on the vine until full ripeness. Among the hand-harvested grapes were also slightly dried berries, which added more extract to the wine.
18 days of maceration
Fermentation took place with vineyard yeasts, and maceration lasted for 18 days.
On fine lees, without added sulfur
After racking, the wine aged in an inox container on fine lees until summer 2026, without added sulfur.
In the glass
The color is intensely ruby, almost black, with violet hues. The aroma features blackberry, blueberry, ripe cherry, and a gentle touch of wood. The taste is full, soft, and playful, with fruity freshness, pleasant tannins, and a medium-long finish.
At the table
It pairs well with cured meats, red meat, grilled dishes, meat sauces, and also with pizza. The recommended serving temperature is 15–18 °C.
