Subsequently, the mass is pressed to compact the pieces, resulting in that characteristic shape and soft and easy-to-cut texture that distinguishes them from fried cracklings.

- Shelf Life: Once the package is opened, it is recommended to store the leftovers in a closed container in the fridge and consume within 15 days. They can also be frozen, although it is better to give them a heat boost in a pan after thawing to recover some of their texture.
