The frying pans from the Chef line are made of 18/10 stainless steel and feature the characteristic patented heat-diffusing base by Serafino Zani, which allows for use on induction as well. The body finish is mirror polished, both on the outside and inside of the pan. The handles are made from stainless steel tubing, filled with perlite (expanded volcanic rock, a refractory material that helps reduce heat and capture any moisture that may enter during washing) and are secured to the body with removable nuts. The lids, shared with the Vickers series, are made of heat-resistant glass and have a mirror-polished stainless steel knob. The use of this base allows for optimal heat distribution across the body of the pot with minimal energy expenditure, and the possibility of using the utensils on gas, electric plates, glass-ceramic, and induction. All handles are designed to slow down heat transmission, paying attention to materials, shapes, and contact surfaces with the body of the pot.
