Pasta pot with a diameter of 28 cm designed by Ettore Sottsass. Made of aluminum casting with a high-quality non-stick coating, very durable. Bon Appetit is characterized by its wide profiles and high, generous thicknesses of material. The handles are designed for easy grip, thanks to their significant dimensions and ergonomic shape, and are made of Bakelite, a heat-resistant material that makes gripping easy and safe, protecting the hand from possible burns. All pieces are equipped with a special base that allows their use on all heat sources: gas, electric plate, ceramic glass, and induction. PFOA free, PFOS free. Made of aluminum casting, coated with high-quality and durable non-stick, the “Bon Appetit” series is characterized by its wide profiles and high, generous thicknesses of material. All pieces are equipped with a special thermally diffusing base that allows their use on all heat sources: gas, electric, ceramic glass, and induction. The production, handmade, is carried out through gravity casting. The molten aluminum in the crucible is taken with a “cup” and poured into a pair of molds that have the shape of the objects inside. Once the mold has cooled, it is opened and the product is removed. Thus begins the entire production process of turning – which must perfectly follow the design of the object – the application of the necessary base for the four heat sources (gas, electricity, ceramic glass, induction), the application of the non-stick part, the assembly of the handles, and the final testing. The handles of pots and pans, and the long handles of other cookware pieces are designed for easy grip, thanks to their significant dimensions and ergonomic shape. The long handles are made of Bakelite: their particular shape prevents the hand from getting too close to the aluminum part, helping to avoid burns. Serafino Zani has introduced an important technical improvement in aluminum cookware with this line: all “Bon Appetit” cookware pieces are equipped with a special steel base that allows their use on all heat sources, including induction. The Bon Appetit frying pan, designed by Ettore Sottsass and Christopher Redfern, has been awarded two important recognitions such as the Design Plus and the Red Dot Design Award.
