Guests of Life, De Lucchi case
Guests of life is the theme proposed to Remo Bodei that gave rise to a philosophical reflection on our time and the relationship with things. The essay, written for Numa in March 2006, is published in a small limited edition volume, handcrafted according to the precious techniques of art publications. For this book, Michele De Lucchi and Giuseppe Rivadossi designed two limited edition cases, made of leather and aluminum and wood, which, together with the book, will become part of Numa's Limited Edition 2006 collections. Remo Bodei was a professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Los Angeles, after having taught for a long time at the Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa. He initially focused on German classical idealism and aesthetics, more recently on theories of individuality and logical and temporal anomalies. Material: Aluminum and full-grain leather. Fine paper from the Sicars paper mill in Catania. Processing phases: The satin aluminum plates are fixed using special glues to the structure made of full-grain leather.
