Serafino Zani still manufactures its pots in the company in Lumezzane, Brescia, using exclusively high-quality stainless steel (inox 18/10). This material is the only one that guarantees maximum hygiene in contact with food, almost eternal durability, and extreme ease of cleaning and maintenance. The steel is used in all components and details, and is always applied in generous thicknesses that ensure excellent heat distribution and dimensional stability over time. All steel cooking pieces are equipped with a special patented thermodiffuser bottom by Tarcisio Zani - USA patent 4204607 - consisting of a core of pure aluminum 'trapped' inside a double bottom of stainless steel. The use of this bottom allows optimal heat distribution over the body of the pot with minimal energy expenditure, and the possibility of using the utensils on gas, electric plates, glass-ceramic, and induction. All handles are designed to slow down heat transmission, paying attention to materials, shapes, and contact surfaces with the body of the pot. The lid fits into a conical shape that prevents it from jumping during cooking and from releasing steam, thus wasting heat unnecessarily. The design philosophy of Serafino Zani has always been based on aesthetic-technological research and maximum satisfaction of the end user, through the creation of everyday objects that are of high quality, pleasant to use, and that do not create discomfort or maintenance difficulties. The pots produced by Serafino Zani are thus high-design objects, with high thicknesses (a synonym for resistance and durability), of excellent and accurate finishes, which allow ease of use and cleaning.
