Serafino Zani still manufactures its pots at the company in Lumezzane, Brescia, using exclusively high-quality stainless steel (18/10 stainless steel). This material is the only one that guarantees maximum hygiene in contact with food, almost eternal durability, and extreme ease of cleaning and maintenance. Stainless steel is used in all components and details, always applied in generous thicknesses that ensure excellent heat distribution and resistance to deformation over time.
All stainless steel cookware pieces are equipped with a special thermo-diffuser base patented by Tarcisio Zani - USA patent 4204607 – composed of a core of pure aluminum 'trapped' inside a double stainless steel bottom. The use of this base allows optimal heat distribution on the pot body with minimal energy expenditure, and the possibility to use the cookware on gas, electric plates, glass-ceramic, and induction.
All handles are designed to slow down heat transmission, paying attention to materials, shapes, and contact surfaces with the pot body. The lid fits into a groove that prevents it from jumping during cooking and from releasing steam that would waste heat unnecessarily.
