MACH - GREEN COFFEE POT (4 cups) - SERAFINO ZANI
Moka for coffee for 4 cups, with a particular shape resembling a Doric column. Isao Hosoe, with the Mach coffee pot, has managed to translate the language of art into an everyday object. Mach represents a suggestion but also a true exploration of high-level materials and design. A collectible moka, awarded and a protagonist of international design exhibitions. The body and boiler are colored on the outside with flame-resistant paints, while the interior is protected with food-safe paints for greater hygiene. The gasket is made of food-grade silicone, very resistant to high temperatures, while the handle is made of heat-insulating material to prevent burns. The package also includes a practical single-dose reducer. "Boiling water rises slowly and meets the magical threshold, through which water becomes coffee. The magical transformation of water into coffee inside a coffee pot has led me to transfer the ritual, magical, and symbolic value to the purely physical process. Two identical cones are symmetrically joined above and below by a long Greek column. The lower cone contains the water to be heated, and the upper cone, placed upside down, will have its coffee only after the joyful ritual passage along the vertical column." Isao Hosoe Born from the collaboration between Japanese designer Isao Hosoe and Serafino Zani, the Mach coffee pot, inspired by Doric columns, has managed to translate the language of art into an everyday object. Made of die-cast aluminum, hygienic and easy to clean thanks to its special coating, Mach represents a suggestion but also a true exploration of high-level materials and design. Initially produced in seven color variants (green, blue, mustard, pink, purple, aluminum, and bronze), Mach is essential and exclusive in its shapes: two opposing truncated cones connected by a fluted cylinder. The handle made of thermoplastic insulating material allows for an easy and secure grip. An evergreen design object, the Mach espresso coffee pot by Isao Hosoe represents one of those historic pieces that have embedded Serafino Zani among the most innovative design companies in the sector. A creative thought made of experimentation and passion for the culture of the table, kitchen, and home; where steel has always been the undisputed protagonist and, at times, happily combined with other materials. Note: Already selected by Alessandro Mendini for the third edition of the “Triennale Design Museum - new interpretation of Italian design” (March 26, 2010 - March 27, 2011), the Mach coffee pot was chosen by Giulio Iachetti for the exhibition “The Masters' Coffee Pots” https://www.giulioiacchetti.com/?p=5688&lang=it Red Dot Award - Design innovation 1995 Good Design Award 1995 Chicago Athenaeum Design permanent collection, Chicago, 1995 Triennale Design Museum Collection, Milan 2010 The Masters' Coffee Pots, Milan 2019 The package includes 1 moka coffee pot, 1 reducer (from 4 to 2 cups) Note: These are the last available specimens of an iconic object, made in the 1990s and no longer in production. These coffee pots have small aesthetic defects due to the gradual deterioration of the original molds. Marks are mostly present on the base and inside the spout, which do not affect functionality at all.
