Our oak boards can be used untreated: the appearance is beautifully rugged! It's understandable that in some situations you may want protective material, for example, if the board is hanging in the bathroom. Specifically for these situations, we offer protective varnish, conveniently supplied with a brush and sandpaper.
Trae Lyx Project Furniture Varnish is ultra-matt, which helps maintain the rugged appearance of the oak board. It is water-based, odorless, dries quickly, and is easy to apply.
The contents of one can are sufficient to treat approximately 300 cm of oak wall boards.
Here's how to do it:
- We deliver the board sanded smooth; making it dust-free is sufficient.
- For boards that have been in use for a while: lightly sand them.
- Shake the can, then you can apply the first coat.
- After 3 hours of drying time, lightly sand with the included sandpaper.
- You can keep the brush in water in between.
- Then apply two more coats.
- Let it dry for 24 hours and your board is ready.
