“Offer”, the name chosen by Sottsass himself, aims to emphasize the gift-like dimension contained in the objects and at the same time, with a good dose of irony, refers to the idea of a design deliberately distant from the glamour of great occasions. The significant thicknesses and architectural proportions designed on simple geometries, traits that Ettore Sottsass favors in his language, make the objects of the “Offer” collection new archetypes of the contemporary table dedicated to those who love the quiet normality of simple things that work well and are of high quality, which high-level design knows how to interpret. “Offer” is the table collection designed by Ettore Sottsass and part of “The wise kitchen and the happy table”, a project started in 2004 that explores the quiet pleasure of personal objects with which to serve bread, a freshly made dessert, wine, and a few exquisite dates on the table. A collection of 6 pieces consisting of a centerpiece, a stand, and four baskets of different sizes and uses that, in continuity with the program initiated with Sottsass Associati, reintroduces steel as the main material of the domestic landscape. “Offer” continues the research that Sottsass has conducted with Serafino Zani on the rediscovery of forms from daily tradition according to contemporary languages, starting from a concrete and durable material like steel. A steel that in “Offer” becomes precious in the unusual combination with the glass of the “Tuareg” stand and in the contrast between polished and burnished of “Offer Fruit”. The package includes 1 bottle holder.
