Boxwood is one of the most durable woods and is ideal for making kitchen utensils. Its texture and firmness prevent oil from penetrating the wood, preventing staining, and it is also easy to wash. Many chefs praise the virtues of boxwood utensils.

• Grain: Straight or slightly irregular.

• Density: It has an approximate density of 975 kg/m³ at 12% moisture.
• Hardness: A hardness on the “Janka Scale” of 2,840 lb_f (12,610 N), similar to that of American white oak. Very hard wood.
• Durability: It is a durable wood regarding moisture.

Boxwood
