Prepared according to Alsatian tradition, our cooked cabbage for sauerkraut is slowly simmered with Riesling, a hint of lard, and juniper berries to reveal its full character. Its slightly tangy taste, balanced by the richness of the cooking juice, makes it the perfect base to enhance your sausages, smoked breasts, shanks, or lardons. Already ready to use, you just need to gently reheat it to rediscover the generous flavors of traditional sauerkraut, effortlessly but with all the taste of the region. At Maison Lascours, we select simple and authentic recipes, carefully crafted to preserve the quality and naturalness of the product. Butcher's tip: Gently reheat your cabbage in a pot with a splash of Riesling or a bit of broth to restore its roundness. Add your smoked meats and let them simmer together for 10 to 15 minutes for the flavors to meld. Serve hot with steamed potatoes or good country bread.
