P'tit Brebis is a farmhouse cheese made from raw sheep's milk, carefully produced by Caroline Grandclément at the Ferme de la Demoiselle, nestled in a green setting in Augisey, in the Jura region. The Lacaune sheep are raised with care, fed on pasture, and treated with respect in a peaceful environment. This lactic cheese comes in the form of a small block with a natural, fine, and slightly fuzzy rind. Its white, chalky paste hides a creamy layer that melts delicately in the mouth. It develops subtle aromas of fresh milk, hazelnut, and vegetation, with a gentle and balanced intensity. During aging, its texture softens and its flavors gain depth without ever becoming too strong. P'tit Brebis embodies the generosity of the Jura terroir and the artisanal know-how of a passionate shepherdess. It is enjoyed as an appetizer, on a slice of rustic bread, or paired with a white wine from Jura. A tender, sincere cheese that is deeply rooted in its landscape.
