The milk boiler features a special thermodiffuser base patented by Tarcisio Zani - USA patent 4204607 - consisting of a core of pure aluminum 'trapped' inside a double bottom of stainless steel. The use of this base allows for optimal heat distribution over the pot's body with minimal energy expenditure, and the possibility of using utensils on gas, electric plates, ceramic glass, and induction. The edge of the milk boiler is designed to allow the lid to fit very precisely, preventing steam from escaping quickly, wasting heat, and ensuring the lid does not rattle. The handles of Serafino Zani are designed to significantly slow down heat transmission, paying attention to materials, shapes, and contact surfaces with the pot's body. Specifically, the handle is made from a rod of 18/10 stainless steel, bent into an arc and then flattened at the welded part to the body, making the weld more resistant to impacts. The highly curved shape makes it easy to grip and slows down overheating due to proximity to the body of the milk boiler.
