BEEBUM
Lemon liqueur · 25% alcohol
BEEBUM is a modern lemon liqueur created as a complete contrast to BEEBLU. Instead of depth and forest bitterness, here freshness, citrus energy, and the pure character of lemon take center stage.
The taste begins with a pronounced, brief wave of pleasant acidity that quickly transitions into the gentle bitterness of lemon peel and essential oils. The finish remains long, citrusy, and extremely fresh — like the feeling when you first bite into a real lemon, but without the unpleasant sharpness.
BEEBUM does not imitate classic limoncello. While most lemon liqueurs are primarily based on sugar and the aroma of the peel, we at BEEBUM wanted to capture the full character of the lemon — its freshness, liveliness, slight bitterness, and natural balance.
Bumblebee
BEEBUM represents the bumblebee — a strong pollinator that, with its shape and yellow-black contrast, already resembles a lemon.
Unlike most pollinators, bumblebees can also operate in cooler and more challenging weather, making them extremely persistent and adaptable. This same character is embodied in BEEBUM — lively, energetic, and full of freshness.
Neretva Lemons
For the production of BEEBUM, we use lemons from the organic farm of Marjan Šamič in the Neretva Valley, where the Mediterranean climate allows for the development of distinct aromas, essential oils, and natural citrus freshness.
To maintain maximum freshness and the character of the fruit, we process the lemons within 48 hours of harvesting.
We primarily select the most aromatic parts of the fruit, as this is where the true character of the liqueur is formed.
Honey & Distillate
The base of the liqueur is natural distillate with at least 70% apple, which, due to its neutrality, allows the lemon to remain in the foreground.
Unlike our other liqueurs, in BEEBUM we use acacia honey, which, with its gentle and pure sweetness, does not overshadow the citrus character but elegantly binds it into a balanced flavor.
Production
We control the maceration of lemon peels in short and extremely precisely monitored processes, which extract freshness and aroma from the fruit without excessive bitterness.
After the initial aging, a further short maceration follows, aimed at emphasizing the citrus notes on the nose and the final freshness of the liqueur.
The entire process is designed with one goal — to convey the true feeling of lemon in a modern liqueur.
