La Legua Pickled Piparra Pepper
The La Legua pickled piparra pepper is a very delicate product that is pleasant to the palate, with a mild flavor, tender flesh, very thin skin, and not spicy.
It contains high amounts of vitamin C, even more than citrus fruits, and is rich in calcium and carotenoids, among other antioxidants. Additionally, it contains magnesium and phosphorus, B vitamins, especially B6 and folic acid, and is high in fiber.

They go by many names; Basque guindillas, Piperras, Piparras, Piperrak, garden prawns… But what can we say about the fresh “piparras”? First, they are hardly spicy. What you hear is true! They are not spicy, although there is always one that breaks the rule ;)
The piparra has a meaty texture, a fresh flavor, and an elegant aroma. This characteristic aroma makes it pair well with fresh aromatic herbs like parsley, mint, basil, and chives.
Piparras are cultivated between April and May, and they are hand-picked at their optimal moment, from June to September.
