Superlager ‒ beer for super people Pelicon Superlager combines two of the most renowned brewing schools for lagers ‒ the German, known for precision and purity, and the Czech, known for drinkability. Knowledge gained from around the world has matured into a unique recipe signed by brewer Matej Pelicon, who has been delighting local and foreign craft beer drinkers with popular recipes for over 10 years. This unique Slovenian pilsner is brewed from quality ingredients, without shortcuts and stingy practices. It is brewed from the spring water of the cold Hubelj River, a diverse range of barley malts, and Slovenian hops Styrian Aurora, grown on the Bosnar hop farm in the lower Savinja Valley. The finishing touch is provided by a selected blend of yeasts, which ensures an additional layer of flavors and an almost crisp aftertaste supported by a pleasant bitterness. It is made with people in mind who appreciate the brewer's effort and love to share their enthusiasm for beers with others. For beer lovers who understand that beer comes first in the brewery. Top fermentation is most often associated with ale-type beers. It is a method of alcoholic fermentation that occurs in beer when active yeasts rise to the surface and form a crown (a kind of yeast foam) on it. It mainly involves the yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, which is colloquially referred to as ale yeast. Such yeasts prefer higher fermentation temperatures, approximately from 15 to 25 degrees. In contrast, bottom fermentation yeasts are associated with lager-type beers. This fermentation occurs at the bottom of the vessel. It mainly involves the yeasts Saccharomyces Pastorianus, or colloquially, lager yeast.
