ABOUT THE BEER STYLE
Although the exact origin of the Berliner Weisse style is unknown, we found inspiration for our variant at the French court. Napoleon referred to it as Champagne du nord. We sought everything that is expected from a rosé — the color of flushed cheeks, fruity aroma, and gentle acidity — and brewed it in a way that will remind you of summer evenings.
INGREDIENTS: spring water, barley malt (gluten), wheat flakes (gluten), hops, fruit purees of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, hibiscus, and yeast.
ABOUT SOUR BEER STYLES
Acidity — an essential part of the taste in wine, but a big mistake in beer? Not anymore. Although we know many traditional old beer styles (lambic, oud bruin, flanders red, berliner weisse ...) that serve as inspiration, modern brewing has transformed sour beers. Sour beers are a category where the smallest ingredient — microorganisms — play a central role. Wild yeasts and bacteria were responsible for the beer going sour. Today, craft brewing utilizes acidity in beer in ways that make lactobacillus, pediococcus, and acetic acid bacteria tremble. By using selected yeasts, we have created a beer with gentle acidity, whose intensity is similar to that in wine and does not have excessive strange by-products (read: foul odors). Thus, this sour beer is suitable for all lovers of refreshing drinks and not just for aspiring microbiologists. You can also read about this beer in the blog.
