Vizovice Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK
The climate of the Wallachian region has favored plums and their cultivation for centuries. Therefore, in 2003, we continued the fruit-growing tradition and began planting our own plum orchards on the southern slope of the Vizovice valley, in an area called Těchlov. After five years, we harvested the first crop of Vizovice plums and started a new tradition – the production of a limited series of Vizovice Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.
We always harvest the plums by individual varieties and must distill them in the same way. After at least a year and a half of aging, we select one distillate together with members of the Friends of Jelínek's Plum Brandy Association, which we bottle as the anniversary, limited Vizovice Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.
Haganta from the 2014 vintage is already the sixth single-varietal plum brandy from the company's own orchards R. JELÍNEK. A limited series of 876 bottles was produced, each sealed with a traditional cork stopper and marked with a handwritten serial number.
