Vizovická Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK
The climate of the Wallachian region has favored plums and their cultivation for centuries. Therefore, in 2003, we continued the fruit-growing tradition and began planting our own plum orchards on the southern slope of the Vizovice valley, in the area known as Těchlov. After five years, we harvested the first crop of Vizovice plums and started a new tradition – the production of a limited series of Vizovická Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.
We always harvest the plums by individual varieties and must distill them in the same way. After at least a year and a half of aging, we select, together with members of the Friends of Jelínek's Plum Brandy Association, one distillate, which we bottle as the anniversary, limited Vizovická Plum Brandy R. JELÍNEK.
The Presenta vintage of 2013 is the sixth single-variety plum brandy from the own orchards of RUDOLF JELÍNEK. This vintage will be recorded in the history of the orchards due to a record harvest of 435 tons of fruit. Although the largest quantities of plums were produced by the Čačanská lepotica and Gabrovská varieties, the members of the Friends of Jelínek's Plum Brandy Association chose the distillate from the Presenta variety from the Těchlov orchard, locality U Střelnice, as the best.
Vizovická Plum Brandy 2013 Presenta was produced in a limited series of 2,013 bottles of 0.7 liters, each sealed with a traditional cork stopper and marked with a handwritten serial number. We recommend serving Vizovická Plum Brandy at room temperature, where it best develops its flavor and aroma.
