The sweet-sour harmony of the characteristic taste of cherries from a single tree at the Butul Homestead, combined with aromatic marjoram from our herb garden, creates a unique jam. With 40% sugar, we emphasize the natural sweetness of the cherries, complemented by the subtle freshness of marjoram. Limited quantity, as we use exclusively produce from our home garden. This jam is great for pairing with aged cheeses or game dishes.
Marjoram-Cherry Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of oat or spelt flour
- 1/2 cup of butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup of Cherry Jam with Marjoram
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Almonds or walnuts for decoration (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, and egg.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt, and mix well to obtain a uniform dough.
- Using a spoon, shape small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Make a small indentation in the center of each cookie with your finger or a spoon.
- Add a small amount of Cherry Jam with Marjoram to each indentation.
- If desired, you can add almonds or walnuts on top.
- Bake the cookies for about 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
