Folk tradition says that consuming fig leaves and drinking tea made from fig leaves has health benefits. These days, we are quite busy with them. Some go into jars for fermentation. Later, they can be used for so-called sarmice, which can be filled with meat or some porridge. Some go into the dryer for tea. A large part went into a big pot on the stove. It is prepared, in our opinion, one of the best syrups we have ever made. Since our field was rich with watermelons, we added them among the fig leaves and prepared a syrup with unforgettable summer flavors.
