Morphology of the Death Trumpets The Death Trumpets have an ash-gray color that darkens upon contact with moisture. They are usually small to medium-sized, ranging from 5 to 15 centimeters. Their cap is very narrow and trumpet-shaped, hence their name. They have a somewhat scaly surface and gills with slightly marked longitudinal wrinkles or folds. Their flesh is gray and elastic, and their pleasant flavor may remind us of truffles.

Curiosities of the Death Trumpet Habitat: Very varied. It grows in the shade of oaks, beeches, chestnuts, and in mossy areas. Season: It starts in late summer and is available throughout the autumn months. Advantages: One of its peculiarities is that they dehydrate very well. This allows you to buy mushrooms year-round.
