Qualified Designation of Origin: Rioja
Variety: Viura and Malvasía from the centenary vines of our Fincas Vitarán and Vizcarral, hand-harvested in small capacity boxes.
Farming: Organic agriculture
Production: Prefermentative maceration of must and skins in cold at a controlled temperature of 8 ºC. Alcoholic fermentation of the virgin must, free of pressing, in new Hungarian oak barrels.
Region and vineyards:
Vineyards located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja Alta), known for the extraordinary quality of its soils and vineyards. They have an average age of 45 years. The care of these vines is 100% organic with highly integrated agriculture. Clay-limestone soils that are very poor and stony, which causes the roots of the vines to dig deep in search of water and substrates, resulting in small grape productions but of great quality.
Aging: Aging in the same Hungarian barrel, on its fine lees for 3 to 4 months.
Tasting:
- Appearance: Pale yellow color with greenish reflections.
- Smell: Intense aromas of white fruits, pear and apple, intertwined with tropical notes, pineapple, lychee, mango, and hints of quince jam, wrapped in spices from its aging in wood.
- Taste: On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and intense, with a broad and creamy mouthfeel and an aromatic and persistent finish.
Temperature: Serve at 8-10 ºC
Pairing: Perfect to accompany all types of fish and lightly cooked or marinated red meats. Exquisite with soft cheeses and nuts.

Organic agriculture
We are one of the pioneering wineries in Organic Agriculture in La Rioja. In the year 2000, we planted our first organic vineyard in Alto de Mindiarte. A set of isolated vineyard plots surrounded by a natural wooded environment full of fauna and flora.
The vineyards
The winery has 35 hectares of its own vineyard spread across different plots in the municipal territory of San Vicente de la Sonsierra.
