The Izadi Crianza wine is the flagship of Bodegas Izadi, produced in Villabuena, Álava, a privileged place in Rioja Alavesa. This wine combines concentration, balance, and a well-defined personality, making it a safe bet.

Variety: 100% Tempranillo

Production:
Manual harvest. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Aging for 14 months in barrels: 70% American oak (Demptos and Murua) and 30% French (Francois Freres, Taransaud, Radoux, and Berthomieu), 20% new and the rest distributed up to a total of 4 years.

Tasting:
Medium ruby color with a viscous tear. High aromatic intensity well balanced with notes of red fruits, licorice, and spices combined with slight toasted hints. On the palate, it is balanced with a long aftertaste of fruity and floral memories, smoky notes, soft tannins, and a long and elegant finish.

Pairing:
A wine to be enjoyed chilled, especially in summer.

Bodegas Izadi

Bodegas Izadi was founded in 1987 by Gonzalo Antón. Izadi means nature. Therefore, the winery, located in Villabuena de Álava, seeks to respect the fruit that this natural environment provides, integrating innovation and tradition in a unique building.

Architecturally, it takes advantage of a 50-meter slope to use gravity in the production of its wines, dividing the winery into five different levels. Each element is focused on nurturing, at every stage of the production process, the unique characteristics of the grape and thus preserving its personality.

Izadi has 178 hectares of vineyards, in micro-parcels located in the triangle formed by the towns of Villabuena, Samaniego, and Ábalos.
