Piperrada - Pepper and Tomato Sauce

Piperrada, or pepper and tomato sauce, is a culinary accompaniment of Basque and Navarre origin that is almost always served to accompany meats and fish. A delight of our gastronomy. Made using all natural and local ingredients. Traditional recipe with garlic and onion.

Ingredients: Tomato, green pepper, onion, sunflower oil, garlic, sugar, salt, modified corn starch, acidulant: citric acid.

Preparation

  1. Wash, peel, and cut all the vegetables to taste.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan, and when it is hot, add the chopped garlic.
  3. Once golden, add the onion and stir until it is softened.
  4. Next, add the peppers and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
  5. Finally, add the tomatoes and let it cook until everything is done.
  6. If you don't want to find chunks, you can blend all the vegetables.
