The pigs are raised freely on the vast farms that La Jabugueña owns in the Natural Park of Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche (Huelva), feeding on the natural resources offered by our pastures: acorns, fresh grass, truffles, and aromatic plants. An ideal diet, particularly thanks to the essential oils contained in the acorns, which produce splendid products. The slaughter, as well as the cutting, salting, maturation, and subsequent aging of the hams and shoulders, are carried out in their facilities in the town of JABUGO, one of the best regions for the production of this unique gastronomic jewel in the world, the acorn-fed Iberian ham from Jabugo. Butcher's tip: Take the Serrano Reserve ham out 30 minutes before tasting so that it reaches the ideal temperature and releases its full aromatic palette. Serve it in thin slices, at room temperature, accompanied by a Spanish red wine or a drizzle of olive oil to enhance its melting texture and delicately salty taste.
