Special Gold Label Sheep Emborrado Cheese
On the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of Quesos El Bosqueño, we are unveiling this Special Gold Label Edition of our star cheese, the Emborrado in wheat bran. More than 300 days of aging in our chambers, a very slow and delicate curing process to achieve such a select result. Half of this period has been spent macerating the cheese in premium extra virgin olive oil.
The product, vacuum packed, is protected by a box corresponding to the special edition.
The Sheep Emborrado Cheese is considered the third best cheese in the world at the World Cheese Awards 2016 and the best cured sheep cheese in Spain at the Gourmet Quesos 2017 Championship of Spain's Best Cheeses. This special and perfected version of the traditional recipe is here to delight the most discerning cheese lovers.
Aging: More than 300 days. About 150 days it remains bathed in premium extra virgin olive oil and covered with wheat bran. (Contains Gluten)
Intensity: medium due to its high curing and being covered in olive oil.
Rind: natural covered with extra virgin olive oil and wheat bran.
Characteristics: mature cheese of white color with an intense flavor on the palate and firm texture.
Packaging: vacuum packed with special packaging for whole pieces of 3kg. Inside its own box, wrapped in paper, along with a card describing the product.
In wedges of approximately 0.4kg, it is sent vacuum packed without a box.
Type of milk: pasteurized
The wheat bran comes from the milling of cereals whose husk is crushed in the process.
It provides fiber, fats, vitamins, and minerals, being very nutritious and also very beneficial due to the incorporation of fiber into people's diets.
AVAILABLE FORMATS:
- Round cheeses of approximately 3 kg cut into 6 wedges of approximately 0.5kg and vacuum packed for better consumption.
- Wedge of approximately 0.4kg vacuum packed (loose sale of last units)
STORAGE AND CONSUMPTION:
Store in a cool, dry place
It is recommended to consume between 16 and 18º C
Ingredients: pasteurized sheep milk, rennet and calcium chloride, salt, lactic ferments, extra virgin olive oil, wheat bran (emborrado, contains gluten) and spicy paprika.
