Wild asparagus harvested on the Manžan hills, immediately jarred after picking. Homemade wine vinegar, salt from Sečovlje, whole black pepper, coriander, cloves from Sri Lanka. No added sugar. The filled jars are pasteurized.
In Manžan, we say we have harvested ruško, a name derived from the Latin name Ruscus aculeatus. The shoots begin to grow in spring, shortly after wild asparagus. The taste is slightly more bitter than asparagus.
