BEEBLU
Blueberry Liqueur · 25% Alcohol
BEEBLU is a unique fusion of wild forest blueberries and natural honey, creating a rich, velvety liqueur with a distinct character.
The taste intertwines the tart sweetness of ripe blueberries with the gentle floral warmth of honey. The profile is full, smooth, and luxurious, with a deep forest note and a long aftertaste of blueberry that lingers long after a sip.
BEEBLU is crafted for slow tasting — on its own, slightly chilled, or as a modern base for cocktails.
Xylocopa violacea
BEEBLU represents the wood bee (Xylocopa violacea), commonly known as the blue bee. With its dark blue-black color and size, it is considered one of the most powerful bees found in Slovenia.
Like our liqueur, it also has a distinct character — wild, strong, and unforgettable.
Interesting Facts
Solitary bees live alone from the moment they hatch. They search for food, build shelters, and defend themselves from the environment, making them among the most exposed pollinators to climate change.
Despite this, a single solitary bee can do the work of more than 100 honeybees.
Honey
For the production of BEEBLU, we use Bela Krajina honey in a precisely defined natural ratio of linden and chestnut. Due to natural conditions, it can only be harvested for a short part of the year.
Our honey contains no added artificial sugar, allowing for a pure, natural taste and authentic honey warmth.
Distillate
The base of the liqueur is natural distillate with at least 70% apple, which, due to its neutrality, allows the blueberries and honey to remain in the foreground. Additional aroma and depth are complemented by pear and plum.
In one liter of BEEBLU, there are approximately 5 kilograms of apples.
Production
We combine honey and carefully selected Carinthian forest blueberries and let them mature in a controlled environment for two weeks, allowing the flavors to connect and develop their fullness.
After primary maturation, we gently and naturally filter the mixture with high-quality Bela Krajina flax, preserving the purity, texture, and richness of aromas.
Additional maturation follows, allowing the liqueur to achieve final harmony and depth of flavor.
